Women's Leadership & Participation
Economic power without voice is incomplete. SWEEF supports women to take up leadership positions and to influence the decisions that shape their economic environment.
What this sector is for
Income that a woman cannot decide over changes less than it appears to. Leadership is therefore treated as part of the economic pathway rather than as a separate governance activity.
That runs from decision-making in the household, through office in a cooperative or producer group, to representation in the institutions that set the terms women trade on.
Where this sits on the empowerment pathway
- Resilience
- Income
SWEEF delivers the stages together rather than in isolation. See the full model
