What we will measure, and what we have not yet achieved
SWEEF applies a Results-Based Management approach, so that programs are designed around the changes they intend to produce and are managed against evidence of whether those changes are occurring.
Status of results reporting
No performance figures currently exist
SWEEF was established on 1 September 2026. Everything on this page describes what the Foundation will measure once programs are funded and implemented. The indicators below are illustrative measurement areas, not achieved results. SWEEF does not publish numbers it has not produced.

Number of women accessing savings, credit, digital financial services or investment; value of finance accessed.

Enterprise development
Number of women-owned enterprises established, formalised or strengthened; enterprise survival rate.

Baseline values and targets will be set programme by programme, before implementation begins.
Learning & adaptation
Monitoring data is used, not filed
SWEEF conducts baselines before implementation, reviews performance against targets at regular intervals, commissions independent evaluations for significant programs, and documents lessons — including interventions that underperform — so that subsequent design is better than the last.
Findings are shared with communities, partners and donors as a matter of practice, not on request.
Baselines first
Measurement begins before the intervention does, or the change cannot be attributed.
Regular review
Performance against targets assessed on a defined cycle, with authority to change course.
Independent evaluation
Significant programs evaluated externally, not self-assessed.
Honest documentation
What did not work is recorded and published alongside what did.
